Privacy policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
Ironclad 75 ("the app") is made by BufferSol Technologies ("we"). This policy explains, in plain English, what the app stores, what leaves your phone, and the choices you have. It applies to users in the United States, the United Kingdom (UK GDPR), Canada (PIPEDA) and elsewhere.
The short version
- You can use the app without an account. Your checklist, logs, notes and photos stay on your phone.
- Nothing is backed up unless you choose to sign in with Google for backup.
- We never sell your data, and the app has no ads and no advertising ID.
- You can delete everything at any time, in the app or on this page.
What is stored on your phone
Your challenge settings, daily task ticks, amounts (water, pages, workout minutes), notes, reminder times and progress photos. Photos are saved in the app's private storage and never go to your public gallery unless you export or share them yourself. Android's own Auto Backup may back up the app's data to your Google account, which you control in Android settings.
What leaves your phone, and why
- Backup (optional, when you sign in with Google): your challenge data (tasks, ticks, amounts, settings, and the list of your photos) is copied to our server so you can restore it on a new phone. The photo files themselves currently stay on your device. Sign-in uses your Google account ID and email address.
- Purchases: if you buy Ironclad 75 Pro, Stripe processes the payment (with Google Pay or another method you choose). We receive your subscription status, not your full card details. Your email may be shared with Stripe for receipts.
- Anonymous usage counts: PostHog receives events such as "task completed" or "paywall viewed", with categories and counts only. Never health values, notes, photos or your email. You can switch this off in Settings.
- Crash reports: Sentry receives technical error reports, without personal content.
Our service providers (processors)
Our own API hosted on Cloudflare; database: MongoDB Atlas; payments: Stripe; sign-in and Google Pay: Google; app builds and updates: Expo; usage analytics: PostHog; crash reports: Sentry. Each processes data only on our instructions. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep data
Backup data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your backup data is deleted from our database right away and from routine backups within 30 days. Payment records are kept by Stripe as the law requires.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict processing. California residents have the rights in the CCPA/CPRA (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising). UK users can complain to the ICO and Canadian users to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. Email contact@buffersoltech.com and we'll reply within 30 days.
Children
The app is intended for adults (18+) and isn't directed at children.
Health
Ironclad 75 is a habit tracker, not a medical device, and doesn't give medical advice.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app for significant changes.
